Prof. Dr. Björn Eichmann

Prof. Dr. Björn Eichmann has been Professor of Sports Science at the SRH University of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg at the Karlsruhe and Stuttgart campuses since 01.10.2015. Since 01.06.2021 he takes over the duties of the Vice President at the SRH University of Health in Gera.

After studying sports science, political science and German language and literature, Prof. Dr. Björn Eichmann taught at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Landau Campus at the Institute of Sports Science. At the same time, he completed his doctorate (overall grade: "magna cum laude") and is active in corporate health management. Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Björn Eichmann coordinates training processes of patients together with a diabetology and a rehabilitation center.

• High-intensity training in type 2 diabetes
• Relationship between well-being, physical complaints and body composition
• Effects on visceral adipose tissue, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and abdominal circumference of high-intensity muscle training
• Psychological and physical effects of exercise stimuli in somatoform patients
• Effects of a daily exercise class on academic performance, concentration ability, motor coordination, and body composition
• Assessment of the relationship between physical activity profiles and body composition in blind and visually impaired patients
