Confirmed study quality
Our university is state-recognized and institutionally accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities. All degree programs have been reviewed by the appropriate accreditation agencies and thus meet the nationwide standards. Thus, not only our health university, but also our great study programs are subject to constant quality control by neutral experts to guarantee you the best possible study quality.
Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute
Since its foundation in 2001, the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN) has been carrying out assessments and accreditations in higher education, thus contributing to the shaping of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
Accreditation agency in the field of health and social services
The Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Services (AHPGS) ensures the quality assurance and professionalization of our bachelor's and master's degree programs. It came to very good results in all areas. The AHPGS accredits bachelor's and master's degree programs in the fields of health and social services as well as in adjacent and related fields. In addition, the AHPGS accredits control and quality assurance systems at universities, universities of applied sciences and more.
Federal Association of German Psychologists
Our Bachelor's program in Psychology as well as our Master's program in Mental Health and Psychotherapy are officially recognized by the Bundesverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen e.V. (BDP) as psychological degree programs.
In its assessment, the BDP follows the standards of the European Certificate in Psychology (EuroPsy) and the Diploma Program in Psychology. The background for this is provided by the specifications in the recommendations of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany.
CHE University Ranking
In 2020/2021, we participated in the CHE (Center for Higher Education Development) ranking. The university ranking evaluates the quality of research and teaching as well as the development of university departments based on various criteria. Information on the study programs currently in the ranking process is expected to be available here from May 2021.
Foundation Accreditation Council
The Foundation Accreditation Council is a foundation under public law of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia with headquarters in Bonn. It has the legal mandate to organize the system of quality assurance in studying and teaching by accrediting study programs at German universities.
Science Council
We have been institutionally accredited by the German Science Council since January 2010. Our teaching and research thus meet recognized and audited quality criteria.
Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency
The hallmark of the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZEvA) is the evaluation and accreditation of study programs, university control and management. ZEvA achieved very good results in all areas.
