About me

Prof. Dr. Raimund Böckler has been Professor of Phoniatrics and Pedaudiology at the SRH University of Health since October 2008.

After studying medicine at the University of Ulm, he was initially an assistant physician at the ENT University Clinic in Bonn and the ENT Clinic in Augsburg, where he was recognized as a specialist in ENT medicine in 1987. At the Clinic for Phoniatrics and Pediatric Audiology at the RWTH Aachen University, Prof. Dr. Raimund Böckler eventually became a senior physician and, as a member of a research group, won the scientific prize of the Society for Pediatric Radiology. In 1990, he settled as an ENT specialist and headed the inpatient department of the St. Brigida Hospital in Simmerath. He was awarded the title of specialist in phoniatrics and pediatric audiology in 1997.

From 1997 to 1999, Prof. Dr. Raimund Böckler worked as a senior physician at the ENT University Clinic in the Phoniatrics and Pedaudiology Section in Regensburg. He then went to the ENT clinic of the Siloah Hospital in Pforzheim as senior physician for phoniatrics and pedaudiology. Between 2006 and 2012, he was a physician for phoniatrics and pedaudiology with practice at Siloah-St.Trudpert-Klnikum Pforzheim.

Research interests:

  • Studies on the value of FEES in the diagnosis of dysphagia in infants and young children.
  • Prevention of voice and speech disorders Use of ultrasonography in the treatment of articulation and swallowing disorders of the tongue in children.
  • Investigation into the incidence of voice disorders in student teachers and the effectiveness of speech therapy voice prevention.

Awards

  • 1983 Doctoral Award of the University Society of Ulm for the doctoral thesis with "summa cum laude".
  • 1889 Scientific Award of the Society for Pediatric Radiology as co-author together with Dr. Wein, Prof. Dr. Klajman and PD. Dr. Alzen.
