Prof. Dr. habil. Claudia Luck-Sikorski

In April 2016, Prof. Dr. habil. Claudia Luck-Sikorski took over the responsibilities of the head of the Master's program in Mental Health and Psychotherapy at the SRH University of Applied Sciences at the Gera Campus. In 2018, she additionally took over the management of the research area as well as the duties of the vice president in 2019. Since 01.06.2021 she is the president of the SRH University of Health.

Prof. Dr. habil. Claudia Luck-Sikorski successfully completed her psychology studies in Leipzig in 2010. She then worked as a research assistant at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy and at the Institute for Social Medicine in Leipzig.

She received her doctorate from the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig in 2013, followed by a research stay at Columbia University in New York City. She obtained her habilitation in the field of social medicine and public health in 2016 at the University of Leipizg. She is a licensed psychological psychotherapist with expertise in behavioral therapy.

In the COPE (Chronic Illness and Mental Health) research group, she and her team explore psychological aspects of chronic illnesses, such as obesity, diabetes mellitus, and chronic visible skin disease.
