About me

Prof. Dr. Sebastian Koch is a professor of medical education at the SRH University of Applied Sciences in Gera and at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg at the Institute of Health and Nursing Science.

Sebastian Koch is a state-certified emergency paramedic and graduated as a medical educator (B.A.) at the SRH University of Health and as a health and nursing scientist (M.Sc.) at the Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg, where he also received his doctorate.

In addition to his professional activities, he is a member of the scientific advisory board and deputy speaker of the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Rettungswissenschaften e.V. (DGRe.)".  He is editor of the professional journal "Retten" as well as advisory board member and author of the textbook series "Retten" published by Thieme Verlag. In addition, he is editor of "Rettungsdienst-Forschung.de" at S&K-Verlag as well as editor of the journal "Lehren und Lernen im Gesundheitswesen (LLiG)".

He is a member and scientific advisor of the curriculum commissions for the Thuringian curricula for emergency paramedic, nursing specialist and anesthesia technical assistant and surgical technical assistant.
