What you will learn

Health is a precious commodity, if not the most precious. However, neurological diseases which can lead to permanent disability have been on the rise. As a result, the need for neurological rehabilitation is growing. This development requires highly qualified specialists who can guarantee comprehensive care and rehabilitation for these patients, so that they can return to public, professional and social life and master their everyday lives again as independently as possible.

To tackle challenge, you will be supported by an internationally researching team of professors who possesses extensive expertise in this field and who are involved in various research projects. Thanks to their expert knowledge, passion for research, and dedication, thousands of patients have already been helped on their way to participating in public and social life.

As part of your master's degree program, we will provide you with the necessary knowledge to determine the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures on a scientific basis in the future and to make optimal use of existing resources. Leading professional associations, such as the German Society for Neurotraumatology and Clinical Neurorehabilitation, have long emphasized the increasing need for personnel to accompany scientific studies. For this reason, you will learn to underpin your therapeutic actions scientifically and empirically and develop them accordingly with a view to other disciplines and the big picture.  The focus is on the professionally coordinated interaction of different therapy professions, which is essential for the targeted treatment of your patients.

In your studies, you will not only be exposed to the theoretical development in new areas of knowledge,  but also be able to to expand your acquired knowledge in cooperation with internationally active companies and research institutions. During your internship semester, you can apply your experience to practical problems and projects and gain experience in both  national and international neurorehabilitation. In addition, many of your classroom sessions will take place at renowned rehabilitation clinics in Germany, allowing you to apply your theoretical knowledge directly in practice and learn from real treatment scenarios.

Your career prospects

Our innovative approach that pays off

Details about the study model and internship

Your studies take place part-time, in the so-called part-time study model. This means that in the first four semesters, your classroom lectures will take place twice per semester for one week each (Mon.-Sat.). This makes it possible to combine your studies ideally with your professional life and your private requirements.

Regular participation in the annual congresses of neurological rehabilitation also offer you the opportunity for professional networking as well as scientific and practical exchange. Furthermore, we offer you the opportunity to participate in regular evening journal clubs, where the latest study results are discussed online.

During the 4th semester your 6-month internship will take place, but under certain conditions you have the possibility to shorten the regular study duration. Please feel free to contact us at any time.

Costs and financing

Here you will find all the information you need to realize your studies.

Your financing

As a state-recognized, private university, the SRH University of Applied Health Sciences is financed by tuition fees. These revenues are used to equip our campus, to provide services for our students, and to ensure that you receive the highest quality of education, creating an optimal study environment.

Tuition fees

  • 420 € / per month (total cost if work experience is recognized: 13.050 €)

The monthly fee remains the same for the entire period of study. The one-time enrollment fee is €450.00 and is due 4 weeks before the start of studies. Except for the placement, aptitude or equivalency examination, if applicable, no separate examination fees or similar are charged, not even for repeat examinations. This gives you maximum cost transparency during your studies. If you extend your studies beyond the standard period of study, fees will also be charged, as the university's offer will continue to be used. If only the final thesis of the course is still outstanding, the fees are reduced by 50%.

In addition to efficient organization, a goal-oriented course of study requires a solid financial basis to be able to pay rent, living expenses and tuition fees. Financing options are available, including BaFöG, educational loans or scholarship programs.

We have compiled all financing options for you here.
